Sportsman of the year 1954 (Germany)
The best German athletes of 1954 were honored by Kurt Dobbratz on December 12th in the Hotel Kaiserhof in Karlsruhe . The election was organized for the 8th time by the Internationale Sport-Korrespondenz (ISK). A total of 324 sports reporters and editors cast their votes, which was a new high in the number of votes. There was no separate evaluation of athletes, the best woman in the evaluation, Ursula Happe , was named “Sportswoman of the Year”.
