Sportsman of the year 2009 (Germany)
The 2009 athletes of the year in Germany were chosen by more than 1,400 specialist journalists and honored on December 20th in the Kurhaus in Baden-Baden . The election was organized for the 63rd time by the Internationale Sport-Korrespondenz (ISK). In addition, Britta Heidemann was awarded the Sparkasse Prize 2009 for her successes and commitment, with which she is a role model for young athletes.
