Sportsman of the year 1982 (Germany)
The athletes of the year 1982 in the Federal Republic of Germany were honored on December 11th at the ICC in West Berlin . The election was organized for the 36th time by the Internationale Sport-Korrespondenz (ISK). The 18-year-old male winner, Michael Groß , was missing from the award because he was in Aachen at the German swimming team championships . As in the previous year, athlete Ulrike Meyfarth won in the women’s category and in the teams’s 4 × 400 m relay, the winners also came from athletics.
