Sportsman of the year 1977 (Germany)
The athletes of the year 1977 in the Federal Republic of Germany were honored on December 15th in the Kurhaus Baden-Baden . The election was organized for the 31st time by the Internationale Sport-Korrespondenz (ISK). 608 sports journalists took part in the voting. Cycling world champion Dietrich Thurau was elected athlete of the year, while Eva Wilms was named athlete of the year . The men's foil team was named Team of the Year.
