Sportsman of the year 1960 (Germany)
The best German athletes of 1960 were honored in December in the Kurhaus Baden-Baden . The election was organized for the 14th time by the Internationale Sport-Korrespondenz (ISK). 514 German sports journalists (both from the Federal Republic of Germany and the GDR ) took part in the election, placing the Nordic skier Georg Thoma in first place. Thoma received 4440 points and was named first by 310 journalists. The best woman in the ranking was the water diver Ingrid Krämer in fifth position , who was thus named Sportswoman of the Year. As a team of the year as has been the year of Germany rollercoaster honored.

- ↑ Each journalist awarded a total of 55 points, ten of them to the athlete he considered the best, nine to the second best in his opinion, and thus up to tenth place. For the teams there were three votes for the best rated team, two for the second best and one for the third best.
