Stefano Prada
Stefano Prada (* 6. March 1973 in Olten , civil Stephan Sembinelli) is a Swiss House - DJ , producer and label owner.
Life
Stephan Sembinelli attended the business school in Olten and later studied medicine in Bern . He received piano training at a young age, but only later turned his hobby of music into a profession. He is diagnosed with Asperger's autistic and a member of the world's four biggest clubs for people with high IQs : Mensa , International High IQ Society , Intertel and Triple Nine Society . StarRecords GmbH, to which three record labels belong in addition to the music studio , event and DJ agency , was founded by him.
Prada is divorced and lives near Olten. He is also known to a smaller audience as a painter.
Career
2003 to 2007: first successes
He became known in the club scene with numerous cover versions of 1980s classics, which he produced with his studio partner. In several house charts and DJ playlists he made it into the top 10, many titles even landed at number 1. Some of these cover versions as well as two remixes were published on the labels and CD compilations of DJ Antoine .
2008 to 2010: collaboration with Rockstroh and Maury
With Ronny Rockstroh he achieved his breakthrough in Germany in 2008 with To the Moon . The song was released on over 50 CD compilations in total. This collaboration resulted in two further singles and a joint album . Due to Rockstroh's great success with light , and the resulting record deal with Sony Music , the collaboration ended. With Maury , who worked for many artists such as B. DJ Antoine and DJ Tatana were responsible for the vocals, he recorded the football World Cup song Olé , which was successful in Switzerland.
2011 to today: collaboration with German artists
Due to the abrupt end of the collaboration with Rockstroh, the last single You can do magic was released , for the singing of which Sidney King was again responsible, only under the name Stefano Prada. Collaborations with German artists such as RICK, Join Forces, Liquid Cosmo and Streamrocker followed.
As one of the very few Swiss DJs, Prada was regularly booked to Eastern Europe . For health reasons, however, he almost had to give up this activity. His own radio show is still broadcast on 28 radio stations around the world.
