Steinberg is a residential area in the Wutike district of Gumtow in the Prignitz district in Brandenburg .

geography

The remote place is three kilometers southwest of Wutike and seven kilometers east-northeast of Gumtow. It consists of a larger northern and a smaller southern group of buildings. Between these parts of the settlement there is a 150-meter long driveway over an undeveloped area. To the west, the hilltop settlement is surrounded by the Neustadt – Meyenburg railway line .

The neighboring towns are Bahnhof Wutike in the north, Wutike and Bork in the northeast, Drewen and Karl-Friedrichshof in the southeast, Gantikow in the south, Demerthin in the southwest, and Vehlow and Minnashöh in the northwest.

history

In the historical maps of the German Empire (1902–48), the two parts of the settlement were recorded in the same place and given the designation "Abbaue zu Wuticke". At that time, a farmstead located 500 meters southeast of the southern group of houses and already beyond its own boundary was labeled “Dismantling to Drewen” and is no longer available today.
