Schönhagen is a district of the municipality of Gumtow in the Prignitz district in Brandenburg .

geography

The place is 5 kilometers southwest of Gumtow and 25 kilometers southeast of Perleberg . The district consists of an open agricultural landscape in the middle and in the south , and in the north there are also larger areas of forest.

The inhabited part of the municipality Klein Schönhagen , located three kilometers to the northeast, belongs to the place . The neighboring towns are Döllen in the north, Gumtow in the northeast, Granzow in the east, Görike in the south, Söllenthin in the southwest, Vehlin in the west and Kunow in the northwest.

history

On June 30, 2002, Schönhagen merged with 15 other communities to form the community of Gumtow. At that time the place had 145 inhabitants.
