Haus Steinweg 48 is a listed building in the city of Quedlinburg in Saxony-Anhalt .

It is located in the historic Quedlinburger Neustadt on the south side of the Steinweg and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site . It is registered as a residential building in the Quedlinburg monument register. To the west is the building Steinweg 49 , which is also listed .
Architecture and history
The very narrow three-storey half - timbered house was built in 1688 by the Quedlinburg master carpenter Martin Lange . The inscription MARTEN LANGE ZM refers to it. In the middle of the first floor there is a box oriel . The half-timbered facade is lavishly decorated. There are pyramid beam heads , diamond crosses , profiled parapet planks and filler wood . In addition, there are foot struts , ship throats and the half-timbered figure of the half man . The compartments are provided with decorative lining.
