Stephanie Kurtzuba (born March 20, 1972 in Omaha , Nebraska ) is an American actress .

life and career

Stephanie Kurtzuba was born in Omaha, Nebraska, USA, where she attended Omaha Central High School . Her grandparents opened and operated a bowling alley in Omaha from 1955, which Stephanie, her two siblings and her father Ray now own. Her mother Connie passed away early. During her school days, Stephanie already appeared in theater productions and at the age of 10 stood for the musical Oliver! on stage. After high school, she briefly attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln , where she studied journalism , before she was accepted and successfully graduated from the Tisch School of the Arts in New York City .

After graduating, Kurtzuba was on the stages of off-off Broadway for numerous theater productions . This was followed by appearances on Broadway , about 2003 on the side of Hugh Jackman in The Boy from Oz . As a cast member of the musicals Mary Poppins and Billy Elliot , Kurtzuba appeared together with her colleagues at the Tony Awards in 2007 and 2009.

Kurtzuba made her acting debut in front of the camera in 1999 with the film Flushed . She then took on supporting roles in Knots - Liebesbande , Away We Go - Auf nach Irgendwo , Extreme Loud & Incredibly Close Before I Disappear and Annie in which she took on the role of Mrs. Kovacevic .

In 2013, she appeared on the side of Leonardo DiCaprio and Jonah Hill in Martin Scorsese's The Wolf of Wall Street in the role of Kimmie Belzer .

In addition to her film appearances, she can also be seen in roles on television, mainly in guest roles such as Related , Numbers - The Logic of Crime , Elementary , Do No Harm , Good Wife , Life in Pieces , Chicago PD and Bull , Blue Bloods - Crime Scene New York and Grey's Anatomy . In 2018 she appeared in a supporting role as Carol Noesner in the Waco miniseries based on the Siege of the Branch Davidians .

In 2019 the crime film - biography - adaptation The Irishman with Robert De Niro and Al Pacino in the leading roles was released. Kurtzuba took on the role of Irene Sheeran , the wife of the eponymous Frank Sheeran . After The Wolf of Wall Street , this was the second collaboration with director Martin Scorsese.

Personal

Stephanie Kurtzuba has been married to Joshua Coakley since 2005. They met at the Alley Theater in Houston , where Coakley worked as a prop master. Together they are the parents of two sons and live in New York.
