Former synagogue in Kolbsheim

The synagogue in Kolbsheim , a French commune in the Bas-Rhin department in the Grand Est region , was originally built in the 17th century. The secular synagogue is located at 10 rue de la Liberté.

The 17th century synagogue was rebuilt in 1843 and renovated in 1909.

After 1945 the building was used as a synagogue again for a few years. In 1963 it was profaned and sold. Initially, the synagogue building was used as a storage room and converted into a residential building in 1988/89. The preserved arched windows are a reminder of their former use.
