history
The exterior of the synagogue, built in 1836, has classicist style elements. During the renovation carried out around 1850, the furniture , which has been preserved to this day , was built in in the neo-Romanesque style. In 1903 the synagogue was enlarged with a polygonal apse . Church services were celebrated regularly until 1969 ; since then only on the high holidays.
The exterior of the synagogue was restored in 1997 and the interior in 2002.
Above the portal is the following inscription: This is the gate to the Lord, the righteous will pass through it ... ( Psalm 118, 20)
