action

At the request of his friend Professor Ruiz, Tarzan travels to Mexico . Upon arrival, he becomes suspicious of the driver who is supposed to pick him up. This drives him into a bullring, where a sniper is already waiting for the king of the jungle. Tarzan can take the driver by surprise, blinds the shooter with the side mirror of the car and can get out of the deadly arena. Tarzan takes care of the sniper by rolling a gigantic advertising figure of a lemonade bottle on him.

The local police authorities clear up Tarzan. Inspector Talmadge reports on the young Ramel whom Ruiz accidentally found in the jungle. According to him, this comes from the secret city of Tunku-Mai, which is hidden and whose inhabitants live completely isolated. According to legend, there are huge treasures in the ancient Inca city. Ramel escaped from the clutches of the criminal Vinero, who is after the gold treasures. Vinero has the perfidious peculiarity of executing his opponents with small explosive charges.

Together with the police, Tarzan drives to Ruiz's animal farm. There they discover that the farm has been attacked and everyone present has been massacred. Tarzan meets his friend dying. Ruiz asks Tarzan to find the boy who was kidnapped by the bandits and bring him home. Tarzan takes off his civilized clothes, in his loincloth, armed with a knife and rope, he goes in search of the murderers. He chooses the lion major, the chimpanzee Dinky and the leopard Bianco, who will follow the boy, to accompany him.

In the meantime, Vinaro and his people set out with two tanks and a helicopter to meet with the kidnappers and find their way to the hidden city. Meanwhile, Tarzan finds the murderers, takes them by surprise and frees the boy. Bianco is killed in the process. Ramel tries to describe Tarzan the way home. Tarzan tries to find out where to meet the gangsters via radio, but is exposed by the suspicious Vinaro.

The now alarmed gangsters send the helicopter to look for Tarzan and the boy, when he discovers Tarzan, Tarzan ties two grenades to a rope, uses them as a bola and brings the helicopter to crash. Ramel has identified the mountain range on the horizon that promises the way to his homeland. Tarzan sets off with the boy, meets Vinaro's former girlfriend Sophia on the way. She helped Ramel escape from Vinaro's property, but has now been exposed and left behind in the jungle by the criminal with an explosive charge around his neck. Tarzan can remove the chain with the explosive charge and Sophia accompanies them.

Eventually they get to the caves, the only access to the city. However, Vinaro has also discovered the access. Tarzan tries to stop the gangsters, he sends Ramel and Sophia ahead to warn the townspeople and takes a vanguard by surprise. With the captured rifle he crashes some stalagmites, kills some of the men and forces Vinaro to turn back temporarily. Once in the city, Tarzan learns that the chief Manko refuses to take precautions against the bandits. His people abhor violence. He shows Tarzan the city, the weapons that have not been used for centuries and the gold treasure. Manko does not want to sacrifice life for the metal and hopes for a peaceful solution. Vinaro has meanwhile created access to the city through the caves with the tanks. He demands the return of the gold and shoots into the crowd to support his demand without warning.

The bitter shortcoming allows the city to be evacuated on Tarzan's advice after he has stacked the gold in the square. When the chief wants to hand over the gold to Vinaro, Vinaro doubts that it is the complete treasure. Fault leads Vinaro into the pyramid to the treasury where he first admires the massive golden door. While trying to steal a golden skull from the wall, Vinero triggers a trap and is buried in the treasury. In the meantime, Tarzan has taken most of Vinaro's men by surprise, he manages to penetrate one of the tanks and destroy the second with it. Finally, Tarzan eliminates the gigantic bodyguard Vinaros. Manko thanks Tarzan when he makes his way home with Sophia. Major and Dinky stay with Ramon in town.
