The saint is a television film from the crime series Tatort . The report produced by Bayerischer Rundfunk was first broadcast on October 3, 2010 in the first program of ARD . It is the 55th case of the Munich investigators Batic and Leitmayr and the 774th crime scene sequence.
action
Prisoner Nic Schuster is found dead with a heroin overdose in the shower of his holding cell . Shortly before, he had tried to extort his release by being held hostage . While Batic and Leitmayr are investigating, Hassan Adub, another prisoner, manages to escape. Since he was a drug dealer , that makes him suspicious of Schuster's death. His fellow prisoner Charly Bause and prison officer Marie Hoflehner helped him escape . She has a pronounced helper syndrome and cannot bear how the people in prison systematically perish. She wants you to be able to do something with your life. In order not to lose this “saint” in prison, Charly Bause leaked the high-percentage heroin to the shoemaker, so that he was sure that it would kill him. Since he knew about Adub's escape plans and without his protection in prison he would have to fear for his life, he wanted to get away too and would have betrayed Marie Hoflehner and thus ruined everything.
Since Marie fears that the police will find out about her, she goes home. Contrary to what was agreed, there is still Hassan there, who doesn't even want to go back to Algeria. He doesn't manage to start a new life either, but falls into the old criminal structures and kills Alexis, one of his criminal friends, who is to blame for the fact that he had to go to prison for 6 years. Marie and Hassan argue about it, because after all, she risked their existence to enable him to dream of a free life in his native Algeria . When he becomes physical and she feels threatened, she shoots him.

Reviews
The Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung analyzes this crime scene episode from the filmmaker's point of view. This is how Swantje Karich finds:
“In every second of the film, everyone would be able to do the exact opposite of what they think they are seeing. Jumps in time mix the perspectives. For this game of confusion, the cameraman Hanno Lentz, the editor Susanne Hartmann and the director have chosen a gentle cut with many cross-fades, which allows one to jump in time, between past, present and future, and nevertheless continue the action in a concentrated manner, not to artificial. "
Tv movie also found it a strong Munich performance!
Stern magazine , on the other hand, comes to a very negative judgment:
“Still, 'The Holy One' is just a mediocre crime scene. The plot is too predictable in many places, the plot is too overloaded, and the jokes of the commissioner are too busy. The authentic game of Sarnau is particularly captivating. On the other hand, the two investigators who were supposed to be driving the action unfortunately often remain as gray as their hair. "
