Terre Roveresche is an Italian municipality ( comune ) with 5196 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Pesaro and Urbino in Marche .

geography

The municipality is located about 25 km south of Pesaro and about 26 km east of Urbino . The regional capital Ancona is about 43 km to the southeast. The municipality is located at 264  m slm. The highest point is 329  m slm , the lowest point in the municipality is 43  m slm

The neighboring municipalities include Cartoceto , Colli al Metauro , Fano , Fratte Rosa , Mondavio , Monte Porzio , San Costanzo and Sant'Ippolito .

history

The municipality was created on January 1, 2017 through the merger of the previously independent municipalities of Barchi , Orciano di Pesaro , Piagge and San Giorgio di Pesaro . The town hall seat is in Orciano di Pesaro. In the vote on the municipal merger on November 13, 2016, 83.37% (46.09% turnout) in Barchi, 82.67% (41.77% turnout) in Orciano di Pesaro, 63.60% in Piagge (52nd , 13% turnout) and in San Giorgio di Pesaro 72.92% (53.20% turnout) for the merger. In the overall result of the three municipalities, 1736 valid votes (76.24%) were in favor of the union of municipalities, which was created with the Legge Regionale law n.28 of December 7th 2016 .
