Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 (abbreviation "THPS3", often just Tony Hawk 3 ) is a video game in the Tony Hawk series. The game was released in 2001 for the Nintendo GameCube , GameBoy Color , PlayStation , and the PlayStation 2 . In 2002 also for Nintendo 64 , Xbox , Windows , and Game Boy Advance . It was the first game to be released for PlayStation 2 online functionality. It was also the last game on the Nintendo 64 in the United States.
For the first time there was the Revert. In other words, an advanced combo from the ramp ( quarterpipe ) was now possible. This allowed a lot more trick combos than in the last two games. A trick combo is a continuous sequence of tricks. In addition, the graphics and the "do-yourself-the-skater" options were improved, so that an even larger selection (facial features, hair, skin color, size, stature, clothing, etc.) was available for your own skater, for the first time Skaters.
