Trevor Wurtele (born May 18, 1979 ) is a Canadian triathlete and Ironman winner (2013).

Career

Trevor Wurtele started triathlon in 2004 and has been a professional athlete since 2008. He is trained by Paulo Sousa . He has been part of the First Endurance Team since 2010 .

Ironman 2013 winner

In August 2013, he won the Ironman Canada (3.86 km swimming, 180.2 km cycling and 42.195 km running) and became the Canadian champion in the long distance triathlon.

In July 2016 Trevor Wurtele finished third at Ironman Canada. In November 2018, he finished second at the Ironman 70.3 Xiamen in China .

His wife Heather Wurtele is also active as a professional triathlete. The two live in Kelowna .
