Tribelhorn was a Swiss manufacturer of automobiles and trucks .

Company history

The company A. Tribelhorn & Cie. AG was founded by Johann Albert Tribelhorn and began producing automobiles and trucks in Feldbach in 1902 . In 1918 the name was changed to Electrische Fahrzeug AG and the company moved to Altstetten . In 1920 production was stopped.

Only vehicles with electric motors were produced. The focus was on the production of commercial vehicles, while passenger cars were only produced in small numbers. The first prototypes were made in 1902. In 1907, the range consisted of the Phaeton models with a three-seater face-to-face body, the Model 1 Type A , a light two-seater small car , the Model 1 Type C , a two-seater small car, the Model 2 Type D with a double phaeton body and the Model 1 Type E as a sedan and landaulet . In 1918 the luxury car Nautilus appeared , which was only produced in very small numbers.

Two vehicles of this brand can be viewed in the Swiss Museum of Transport in Lucerne .
