Gryff-Motors-Garage is a Swiss car workshop and a former manufacturer of automobiles .
Company history
Jean-Pierre Läubin founded the company on October 1, 1960 in Basel when he took over a petrol station . Läubin prepared Formula 3 racing cars and sold Abarth vehicles . From 1969, the company also manufactured automobiles that were given the Gryff brand name. In 1973 the business ended for the time being, but was resumed in 1977. It is not known when the move from Basel to neighboring Allschwil took place. The company still exists today as a car workshop.

The company manufactured around 30 VW buggies between 1969 and 1973 . For this purpose, the chassis of the VW Beetle was used. From 1977 chassis for replicas of the AC Cobra were made . A separate model with two seats was available with a built-in motor of Porsche with 204 hp or a motor of Ford available with 140 hp. In addition, Gryff offered a license to build the English Nova .
