Yaxa was a Swiss car brand from 1912 to 1914 .
Company history
Charles Baehni, who previously worked for Henriod et Cie and Martini , founded the company Charles Baehni & Cie for the production of automobiles in 1912 at Rue de Lancy 24 in the Geneva district of Les Acacias . The brand name was derived from il n'y a que ça , in German, for example, there is only this one . Participation in the British International Motor Show in London in 1913 led to some vehicle sales in England . The dealer network comprised stations in Bern , Biel / Bienne , Brugg , Freiburg , Geneva, Lucerne and Zurich . In 1914 production ended after around 100 copies had been made.

The first model 12.6 CV had a four-cylinder engine of Zedel with side valves. The cylinder dimensions of 67 mm bore and 120 mm stroke resulted in a displacement of 1692 cm³ . There was also a model with an engine with a displacement of 1847 cm³. The transmission had four gears. A special feature was the arrangement of the gear lever and handbrake lever in the middle of the vehicle. The track width was 125 cm and the weight of the chassis was 500 kg. The vehicles were available with two and four seats. The price for the four-seat torpedo was 7,000 Swiss francs .
