Company history
The designer Rudolf Egg and his partner Egli founded in 1896 in Zurich , the automobile factory Zurich Egg & Egli .
Production ended in 1904 when Rudolf Egg left the company to found the Excelsior motor vehicle factory .

Rudolf Egg designed his first car in 1893, which went into series production in 1896. It was a tricycle with the single wheel at the back. It was equipped with a single cylinder built -in engine from De Dion-Bouton , which developed 3 hp . In 1899, the production of the tricycle at Egg & Egli ended. Between 1899 and 1904, a few examples of a four-wheeled automobile were made with the engine mounted in the rear.
