UK Open Qualifiers 2016
The 2016 UK Open Qualifiers were a series of qualifying tournaments in darts. They consisted of six qualifying rounds leading up to the UK Open 2016 . The results there were recorded in a separate ranking list, the UK Open Order of Merit . The top 96 of this ranking after the six tournaments were automatically qualified for the UK Open in early March of this year.
The UK Open Qualifiers were also part of the PDC Pro Tour 2016 .
Importance of qualifying tournaments
In each of the six qualifiers, the players received prize money based on their results, which were then used in the UK Open rankings. At the end of the six qualifiers there was a ranking of all players, after which the participants and the seeding list for the final UK Open were determined.
