Ulf Steinforth (born August 25, 1967 in Magdeburg ) is a German boxing promoter and brewery owner.

Boxing promoter

Steinforth managed three breakdance crews in the GDR in the 1980s. After the fall of the Berlin Wall, he became a machine operator and initially worked as a sponsor and president of the 1st BoxClub Magdeburg in the amateur boxing league before founding the now global professional boxing promotion SES BOXING on March 16, 2000 . For many years he was also a cooperation partner of the Universum boxing promotion and, after Universum's end, took over as press spokesman, lawyer and tax advisor for what was once the largest boxing stable in Europe. Steinforth organized well over 100 professional boxing events in Germany with the TV channels: Pro7, Sat1, RTL, SKY, Eurosport and Sport1. Since 2016 Steinforth has been presenting professional boxing under the motto: "Sport in the East - Boxing Live" on MDR (Mitteldeutscher Rundfunk). In 2019 Steinforth was able to conclude a TV deal with the American TV broadcaster ESPN, which BILD called a "mega coup", with which the US TV giant boxing live broadcasts from Germany to the USA and Canada. Steinforth announced another TV partner at the beginning of 2020: After 5 years, ARD was to broadcast a boxing evening live for the first time. The first joint fight evening was planned for March 28 and had to be postponed due to the corona virus.

Boxers and Achievements

Steinforth has been named "Promoter of the Year" several times nationally and internationally. He organized numerous world championship fights by Sven Ottke in Magdeburg, where Ottke became a crowd favorite.

In 2017, he managed to sign the Moroccan amateur world champion, Olympic medal winner and WSB Boxer Of The Year Mohammed Rabii for his professional stable.

In professional boxing for women, Steinforth celebrated numerous world championships with Natascha Ragosina , Christina Hammer , Susianna Kentikian , Ramona Kühne and Fabiana Bytygi and was awarded several times as "Promoter Of The Year" for women.

Video archive

Steinforth owns a large box video archive. He owns the image rights to all SES BOXING Sport Events Steinforth Events with 20 years of boxing history. In 2014 he also acquired the entire moving image archive of the Universum Box Promotion with over 25 years of boxing history, including fights by Wladimir Klitschko , Vitali Klitschko , Dariusz Michalczewski , Gennady Golovkin , Ruslan Chagaev , Graciano Rocchigiani , Jürgen Brähmer , Felix Sturm , Luan Krasniqi , Firat Arslan and Zsolt Erdei .

In 2014 Steinforth took over the Sudenburger Brauhaus (1882).

Private

Steinforth has been married to Peggy Steinforth since 2013 and has three children. In 2018 he was voted "Magdeburg of the Year" in second place. He collects old slot machines , which David Copperfield made several visits, and old advertising material from breweries.
