Stefan Härtel (born February 6, 1988 in Lauchhammer ) is a German professional boxer in the super middleweight division . Härtel was an amateur boxer until 2014 and participated in the 2012 Olympic Games .
Career
amateur
Stefan Härtel is studying sports and history to become a teacher and is a sports soldier . He starts for SV Lichtenberg 47 and is a member of the A national squad of the German Boxing Association . His trainers are Valentin Silaghi and Ralf Dickert.
At the 14th Junior World Championships in September 2006 in Agadir , Morocco , Härtel won the first fight against Cornel Juratoni from Romania 24:14, but lost to the Cuban and later gold medalist Luis García in the second round. At the 4th Military World Championships in October 2007 in Hyderabad , India , he won a bronze medal in the middleweight division. In the preliminary round he had beaten Kamin Ghulam Yar, who started for Afghanistan, early and defeated the Croatian Ante Čepo 21:13 on points in the quarter-finals. In the semifinals, however, he was clearly defeated by 4:21 to the later gold medalist Danil Shved from Russia. The 6th EU Championships in Poland in 2008 , he finished with the bronze medal in the middleweight division.
After a win against the Bulgarian Mladen Manew , he suffered a point defeat against the Irishman Darren Sutherland .

In October 2011, Härtel started at the 16th World Championships in Baku , where he defeated the Turkish Adem Kılıççı 13:11 and the Georgian Jaba Chositashvili 22: 6 in the preliminary rounds , before he defeated the Japanese and later vice world champion Ryōta Murata with 15: 18 was subject. In 2011/2012 he also took part in the World Series of Boxing for the Leipzig Leopards . The 2012 Summer Games of London , he defeated in the first round Enrique Collazo Pelaiz from Puerto Rico and 18:10 in the second round the Irishman Darren O'Neill 19:12. After a bye, he defeated the Cuban Ramon Luis Nicolas in the preliminary round and the Egyptian Hosam Bakr Abdin in the round of 16 . In the quarterfinals he was eliminated by Anthony Fowler and again reached fifth place.
Härtel was nationally German junior middleweight champion in 2006 and German middleweight champion in 2007, 2009, 2010 and 2013. He also won the Chemistry Cup in 2011, 2012 and 2013 .

In May 2014 he signed his professional contract at the Sauerland Event . In the same year he fought three fights that he could win. In the following two years he boxed one fight more than in previous years and remained undefeated. This winning streak did not break in 2017 either, so that at the end of that year he remained unbeaten after 15 fights. In March 2018 he boxed against Adam Deines in his first title fight (a fight of the BDB ) and lost on points. A month later, a TKO win against the Czech Dominik Landgraf and a points win against the Spaniard Emmanuel Feuzeu in June.
In May 2019, he won on points against Robin Krasniqi ; it was the first 12th round fight of his professional career and at the same time a title fight of the EBU . In November of the same year an intercontinental title fight of the WBO followed against the Peruvian David Zegarra , which he could also decide for himself.
