Valentina Kutzarova

Valentina Kutzarova (* in Varna ) is a Bulgarian opera and concert singer ( mezzo-soprano ) and music teacher .

Career

Valentina Kutzarova's first musical training in her hometown of Varna was followed by a degree at the Sofia Music Academy .

Her first engagements took her to Plewen and to the International Opera Studio in Zurich before she became a member of the ensemble at the St. Gallen Theater .

From 1994 to 2005 she was a permanent member of the opera ensemble at the Landestheater Linz and made her debut in many important mezzo-soprano roles.

Kutzarova received numerous guest contracts, which she took to the Bavarian State Opera in Munich , the Hanover Opera House , the Teatro La Fenice in Venice , the Teatro San Carlo in Naples , the Grand Théâtre de Genève and other opera houses in Basel , St. Gallen , and Strasbourg , Bordeaux , Las Palmas de Gran Canaria , Bilbao , Zagreb or Bombay . The Bregenz Festival and the Festival de Mayo in Guadalajara (Mexico) were also the target of their appearances.

In 2018 Valentina Kutzarova took part in the world premiere of the Easter Oratorio by Michael Stenov in the parish church of St. Peter in Linz / Spallerhof.

She also appears as a concert singer, with her repertoire ranging from the Baroque to Beethoven and Mahler to contemporary music. She works with well-known international directors and conductors.
