Warren County is a county in the state of New Jersey . At the 2000 census , the county had 102,437 residents and a population density of 111 people per square kilometer. The county seat is Belvidere . It was named after Joseph Warren (1741–1775), a general in the Massachusetts militia, killed at the Battle of Bunker Hill .

The county has an area of 940 square kilometers, of which 13 square kilometers are water. The county is bordered clockwise by the counties: Union County , Monmouth County , Mercer County, and Somerset County .

Demographic data
According to the 2000 census , the county had 102,437 people. There were 38,660 households and 27,487 families. The population density was 111 inhabitants per square kilometer. The racial the population was composed of 94.54% White, 1.87% African American, 0.11% Native American, 1.21% Asian, 0.02% Pacific Islander, and 1.01% other races Groups; 1.24% were from two or more races. 3.66% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race.
Of the 38,660 households, 34.70% had children and adolescents under the age of 18 living with them. 58.20% were married couples living together, 9.20% were single mothers. 28.90% were not families. 24.00% were single households and 10.00% had someone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.61 and the average family size was 3.12.
For the entire county, the population was composed of 26.10% residents under 18 years of age, 6.30% between 18 and 24 years of age, 31.30% between 25 and 44 years of age, and 23.50% between 45 and 64 years of age 12.90% were 65 years of age or over. The median age was 38 years. For every 100 females there were 94.90 males, and for every 100 females aged 18 and over there were 91.10 males.
The median income for a household in the 56,100 USD , and the median income for a family was 66,223 USD. Males had a median income of $ 47,331 versus $ 31,790 for females. The per capita income was $ 25,728. 5.40% of the population and 3.60% of families are below the poverty line. 5.90% of these were under 18 years of age and 6.70% were 65 years of age or older.
