coat of arms

The draft municipal coat of arms of Wehldorf comes from the heraldic coat of arms painter Albert de Badrihaye who designed in the district of Cuxhaven on the 80 coats of arms.

Wehldorf coat of arms
Blazon : "A blue , wavy bar in silver ,accompaniedby three blue rays of fire above and below, 1: 2 above, 2: 1 below"
Justification for the coat of arms: The name Wehldorf (1358 - Wedeldorp) is interpreted as a village on the ford ( Wedel ) in a watercourse. The wavy bar indicates the watercourse. The six jets of fire as symbols of fire places remind us that there were six farms in Wehldorf around 1500.
