coat of arms
The design of the municipal coat of arms of Westerbeverstedt comes from the heraldist and coat of arms painter Albert de Badrihaye , who designed around 80 coats of arms in the district of Cuxhaven.
Blazon : "In green a rising golden beaver , accompanied on the right by a seven-pointed golden star ." | |
Reasons for the coat of arms: The beaver recalls the meaning of the Middle Low German word "bever". The seven-pointed star indicates the evening star as a symbol of the west. |
