geography
source
The source of the white, the white source , is located within North Rhine-Westphalia about 220 m northwest of the border with Hesse . It is located in the Rothaargebirge 1.6 km south of Wilgersdorf , 1.3 km east of the Kalteiche ( 579.3 m ) and almost 600 m north of its eastern neighboring elevation Hirschstein ( 562.9 m ) at about 493 m above sea level. The Wilgersdorfer Rundwanderweg auf Bergmannsppfad runs right past the Weißquelle . The white spring is surrounded by a small clearing in the state forest Kalteiche. It is not enclosed, but emerges from a rock crevice; the spring water runs down stepped rocks to the valley.
course
The white runs in a predominantly north-westerly direction. After only about 20 m of flow, it is fed by a trickle that rises about 400 m (as the crow flies) west-southwest of the Weißquelle on the L 904 at an altitude of 521 m . The river flows through Wilgersdorf, where it absorbs the water of the Goldschmiedsborn , which comes out of the source of the same name on the slope of the Kalteiche , which is taken by the Sauerland Mountain Association (SGV). After passing under the railway line Dill Railway , the White takes the right side its largest tributary, the Bichelbach on. Then it passes the Anzhäuser Mühle with the local industrial area Anzhäuser Mühle and shortly afterwards reaches Anzhausen . At the end of the village, the Wabach flows in on the left, which is fed by the Bösselbach about 100 m above its mouth. After passing the Klabach-Mühlengraben industrial estate and passing Flammersbach to the south , where the Weiß picks up the stream of the same name, it passes Niederdielfen and picks up the Dielfe on the left. A little further, it flows through the Weißtal industrial park . Then the white reaches the city of Siegen . There it flows through the Kaan-Marienborn district , in which it takes in the Breitenbach, and the Hain district , where it is bridged several times between Siegberg and Lindenberg .
muzzle
After a short underground section of the river , the Weiß flows into the lower town of Siegen near the Apollo Theater , a little southwest or south of Bahnhofsstraße, at around 235 m above sea level. NHN height to the victory coming there from the north-northeast . There is a difference in altitude of around 258 m between the source and the mouth of the Weiß.
