Wilhelm Ernst von Buddenbrock (* 1715 in Gurnen ; † April 17, 1760 in Lauban ) was a Prussian major and commander of the 1st Standing Grenadier Battalion .

Life

Wilhelm Ernst was a member of the Baltic- Prussian noble family von Buddenbrock . His parents were Otto Heinrich von Buddenbrock (1667–1729) and his first wife Anna Catharina von Buddenbrock adH Gurnen. His brothers were the Prussian major general Ludwig von Buddenbrock (1720–1782) and Bernhard Friedrich von Buddenbrock (1725–1807).

Military career

Budde Brock is young in the Prussian Army entered and took in the years 1734 and 1735 in the Infantry Regiment. 2 on the campaign on the Rhine part. Thereafter he advanced to secondary lieutenant and rose on December 17, 1743 further to prime lieutenant in the grenadier battalion "von Byla" . Buddenbrock took part in the Silesian Wars , in particular the battles near Chotusitz , Reichenberg , Prague and Hochkirch , where he was wounded. He died on the campaign of a raging fever.

Buddenbrock was married to Wilhelmine Sophia Charlotte von Hake adH Groß-Kreutz (1735–1815), who remarried as a widow in 1767 with the Prussian Lieutenant General Friedrich Wilhelm von Gaudi (1725–1788).

  1. Wilhelm Ernst was born according to König (Lit.) in 1715, and died according to Naumann (Lit.) at the age of 46.
