Willrecht Wöllhaf was born on January 15, 1933 in Plochingen am Neckar and grew up in Reichenbach an der Fils . After his discharge from elementary school in 1947, he began an apprenticeship as a baker in Esslingen am Neckar at the age of 14 and passed his master craftsman examination in 1957 . After a sports accident with a complicated ankle fracture in 1952, at the age of 19 he had, according to his own account, “on a wonderful warm September day” in his parents' garden a dream-like inspiration that made him write. In 1955 he married his wife, to whom he dedicated several poems and the 1992 book Zwischena Gold ond Silber . From 1970 he was forced to give up his job for health reasons and thereupon became a back office employee of the Wüstenrot Bausparkasse in Ludwigsburg . Wöllhaf died suddenly on May 27, 1999 in his home in Steinheim an der Murr .

plant

Willrecht Wöllhaf wrote over fifty, mostly comic, dramas as skits , scenes , one-act and multi-act plays in Swabian dialect , which he published in various publishers (including Wilfried-Reinehr-Verlag Mühltal , Otto Teich Verlag Darmstadt and Johannes Stauda Verlag Kassel ) and the are still very popular with many amateur theater groups today .

From 1956 until his death he published poems and prose in numerous newspapers , anthologies , school books and home calendars . In the mid-1960s, he increasingly published them on Süddeutscher Rundfunk . From 1966 first Swabian radio plays , from 1968 also on Südwestfunk , which were also taken over by Süddeutscher and Saarländischer Rundfunk . A total of more than 80 radio plays were broadcast.

In addition, a number of Swabian volumes of poetry and collected stories from the Bottwartal , the Middle Neckar and the Unterland were published by Adolf Remppis Verlag Marbach am Neckar and Knödler Verlag Reutlingen .

Form and content

Wöllhafs short, usually four lines and up to twelve four stanzas limited rhymes are, mostly as final and internal rhymes sealed . Due to the swab and nasal sounds , which often occur in the Swabian dialect , many rhymes in Wöllhaf's poems function as impure rhymes .

His more than 50 plays are all short plays in a few acts and locations. Due to the small number of people involved, they are also suitable for small amateur play groups. The thematic actions of the dramas often take place in a family environment or in small Swabian communities and their club life.

Likewise, the approximately 1200 poems often deal with comical everyday situations from the same environment and sometimes contain things they have experienced themselves. They are often cheerful, comfortable and pleasing in nature, thus " close to the people " and rarely serious. The poem Des wenzich kleine "le" deals with B. with the Swabian diminutive affix -le , so that almost exclusively words with this ending are used.

The collected stories are based on legends and curious actual occurrences of Swabian villages and (small) towns, etc. a. from Ulm an der Donau , Ellwangen an der Jagst , Steinheim an der Murr , Reichenbach an der Fils , Oberndorf am Neckar , Lichtenstein , Pfullingen , Ilsfeld and Talheim (district of Heilbronn) (especially in the book Rond om's Rothaus rom ).

In several texts, Wöllhaf took a stand against the injustice of the Nazi dictatorship , which he himself experienced as a child, and spoke out in favor of a multicultural society .
