Wixom is a city ( City ) in Oakland County , Michigan , United States with nearly 14,000 residents.
From 1957 to 2013, the northwestern suburb of Detroit was home to the once most profitable automobile plant , Wixom Assembly Plant , where the Ford GT and the Lincoln Town Car were manufactured. The supplier Behr-Hella Thermocontrol still has a location here today .
