history

Krotenpfuhl was first mentioned in 1397. It belonged to the Habelschwerdter district in the Glatzer Land and was dedicated to the parish church of Habelschwerdt. It has probably belonged to the city of Habelschwerdt since the 17th century. After the Silesian Wars it fell to Prussia together with the County of Glatz in 1763 with the Peace of Hubertusburg . After the reorganization of Prussia, it belonged to the province of Silesia from 1815 and was initially incorporated into the district of Glatz . In 1818 it was reorganized into the newly formed Habelschwerdt district , with which it remained connected until 1945. Because of the war debts caused by the Napoleonic Wars , in which the cities had to participate, Krotenpfuhl separated from the Habelschwerdt district in 1816 and became an independent village. Since 1874 the rural community Krotenpfuhl belonged to the administrative district Altweistritz. In 1939 there were 199 inhabitants.

As a result of the Second World War , Krotenpfuhl fell to Poland in 1945, like almost all of Silesia, and was renamed Zabłocie . The German population was expelled . Some of the new residents were displaced from eastern Poland . From 1945 Zabłocie belonged to the powiat Bystrzycki, which was dissolved in 1975, as well as the Wrocław Voivodeship, which was responsible until then. 1975–1998 Zabłocie belonged to the Wałbrzych Voivodeship (German Waldenburg ).
