Zadelsdorf was a municipality in the district of Greiz in Thuringia . On December 1, 2011 it was incorporated into Zeulenroda-Triebes .
geography
Zadelsdorf is located on the Zeulenroda dam in the Thuringian slate mountains . The place borders on the city of Auma-Weidatal .
history
Zadelsdorf was first mentioned in 1324 as Zcedelanstorf . The name probably goes back to the Slavic personal name Sedlan . The current church was built between 1813 and 1816 . On August 18, 1988, a large fire caused by arson destroyed several historic farmsteads in the town center.
Until January 3, 1996, Zadelsdorf was a member of the Auma administrative community , after which the community belonged to the Auma-Weidatal administrative community . On December 1, 2011, Zadelsdorf was incorporated into Zeulenroda-Triebes.
