Dörtendorf is a district of the town of Zeulenroda-Triebes in the district of Greiz .
location
The place is about thirteen kilometers (as the crow flies ) west of the district town of Greiz and about two kilometers north of the city center of Triebes. The highest peak of the true stone hill ( 401.3 m above sea level. NN ). The traffic to and from Dörtendorf runs on Landstrasse 2332.
The village is located on a hill in the Thuringian Slate Mountains not far from the Weidatalsperre and has around 200 inhabitants.
history
The first documentary mention as Doberenndorf (Slav. Dobry = good) can be found in the document book of the bailiffs of Weida and dates from June 2, 1293. In 1604 Georg Kresse , the peasant general of the Thirty Years' War , was born in Dörtendorf. After a major fire in 1847, Dörtendorf was almost completely rebuilt. Until 1995 Dörtendorf was a member of the Weidatal administrative association . On April 1, 1999, Dörtendorf was incorporated into Triebes . In the course of the merger of Zeulenroda and Triebes, Dörtendorf became part of the new twin town on February 1, 2006 .
Until a few years ago, diabase was mined in the quarry in Dörtendorf .
The heavy ascent from Göhren-Döhlen to Dörtendorf has been an important part of the International Thuringia Tour of Women for years .
