Silberfeld was a municipality in the district of Greiz in Thuringia . On December 1, 2011, it was incorporated into the hamlet of Quingenberg after Zeulenroda-Triebes .
geography
Silberfeld is not far from the Zeulenroda dam in the Thuringian slate mountains . The place borders on Weißendorf . The district of Quingenberg, located directly at the Zeulenroda dam and consisting of only a few houses, also belonged to the community. In it the sailors have their domicile.
history
A place called Silberfeld was first mentioned in 1505. From the year 1505 there is a documentary mention of the settlement area as "on the Zylos", whereby historical researchers assume a form of the Sorbian word "selo" (village) in this term . The village was renamed Silberfeld after some insignificant silver finds in the area. Quingenberg was first mentioned in 1413. The hammer mill near Silberfeld was an iron smelter and hammer mill , according to the church book of 1628, in which Andreas Pissel is recorded as a miller. In 1953, the White Elster Water Management Association used the mill complex as a children's holiday camp before the hammer mill was demolished in 1966. Flour was produced in the Mahlmühl until 1972.
Until January 3, 1996 Silberfeld was a member of the administrative community Auma , after that the community belonged to the administrative community Auma-Weidatal . On December 1, 2011 Silberfeld was incorporated into Zeulenroda-Triebes.
