The Lower Seealmturm ( Polish Zawratowa Turnia ) is a mountain in the Polish High Tatras with 2247 m in the Świnica massif . The border between the municipalities of Zakopane in the west and Bukowina Tatrzańska , specifically the district of Brzegi , in the Lesser Poland Voivodeship in the Powiat Tatrzański district runs at the top .
Location and surroundings
Below the summit are the five lakes , specifically its hanging valley Dolina pod Kołem in the east and Dolina Zielona Gąsienicowa , specifically its hanging valley Mylna Kotlinka in the west, and the valley Dolina Czarna Gąsienicowa in the north.
From the summit of Niebieska Turnia in the south, the Untere Seealmturm is separated by the Mittlere Seealmscharte ( Niebieska Przełęcz ) mountain pass , from the Kleiner Gemsenberg ( Mały Kozi Wierch ) to the north by the Riegelscharte ( Zawrat ) and from the Irr Tower ( Mylna Turnia ) to the west. in the massif of the Kapellengrat ( Grań Kościelców ) through the Irr-Scharte ( Mylna Przełęcz ).
On the slope of the mountain there is a statue of Our Lady, which was placed there in 1904 by the pastor Walenty Gadowski and the mountain guide Klimek Bachleda .
etymology
The Polish name Zawratowa Turnia can be translated as Zawrat Tower . The name comes from the nearby Zawrat mountain pass (German: Riegelscharte).
Flora and fauna
Despite its height, the Untere Seealmturm has a colorful flora and fauna. Numerous plant species occur, especially high alpine flowers and grasses. In addition to insects and mollusks and birds of prey, marmots and chamois also visit the summit.

The Untere Seealmturm is popular with hikers and climbers. It is located on the main path from the upper cable car station on the Kasprowy Wierch to the Riegelscharte ( Zawrat ) mountain pass , where the Orla Perć (Eagle Walk) high path begins.
Routes to the summit
The hiking trail to Zwaratowa Turnia leads along the main ridge of the Tatras and the Polish-Slovak border and turns north after the summit of Świnica . The hiking trail leads below the main summit.
- ▬ A red marked hiking trail leads from Kasprowy Wierch over the summits Beskid and Pośrednia Turnia as well as the mountain passes Liliowe and Świnicka Przełęcz to the summit and on to the high altitude path Orla Perć . From the side of the Zawrat mountain passand thus the Dolina Pięciu Stawów Polskich and Dolina Gąsienicowa valleys, the ascent is also possible on the same hiking trail from the opposite direction. The Schronisko PTTK Murowaniec and Schronisko PTTK w Dolinie Pięciu Stawów Polskich mountain huts are suitable starting points for an ascent from the valleys.
