Zimafej Aljaksandrawitsch Dsejnitschenka ( Belarusian Цімафей Аляксандравіч Дзейнічэнка ; born November 5, 1986 in Homel , Soviet Union ) is a Belarusian wrestler . He was the 2011 European light heavyweight champion in the Greco-Roman style .

Career

Zimafej Dsejnitschenka started wrestling as a teenager in his hometown. He is a member of Dinamo Gomel , a police sports club and has been trained by Sergei Zimin since 1997 and by Igor Petrenko since 2003. He is a student, but he makes a living mainly from wrestling. As an adult he wrestles at a height of 1.95 meters in the light heavyweight class, up to 96 kg body weight. He only wrestles in the Greco-Roman style.

His international career began in 2005, when he finished 3rd at the Junior European Championship (Juniors) in the middleweight division behind Cenk İldem , Turkey and Adlan Bizojew, Russia , together with Jan Fischer from Germany . He did not win any other medals at international junior championships.

In 2007 he started for the first time at a European Senior Championship. In Budapest he had to be content with 25th place in the light heavyweight division after a defeat against Balasz Kiss from Hungary . He has not yet qualified for the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing . In 2009 he started again at a European Championship. In Vilnius he met the Olympic champion of 2008 Aslanbek Chuschtow from Russia in the first round , against whom he lost on points. After a victory in the consolation round over Kalojan Dinchew from Bulgaria and another defeat against Marek Švec from the Czech Republic , he came in 5th place. At the 2009 World Championships in Herning / Denmark , Zimafej Dsejnitschenka lost after a hard fight (1: 2 rounds and 3: 5 points) against David Saldadze from Uzbekistan and only came in 19th place, as Saldadze was also eliminated before reaching the final.

The year 2010 was very successful for him. He reached the finals at both the European Championships in Baku and the World Championships in Moscow , but he lost both of them. In Baku he had to defeat Aslanbek Chuschtow with 0: 2 rounds and 0: 7 points and in Moscow the Iranian Amir Ali-Akbari with 0: 2 rounds and 2: 3 points. He thus ended 2010 as Vice World Champion and Vice European Champion.

At the 2011 European Championships in Dortmund, Zimafej Dsejnitschenka was able to win his first international title. In Dortmund he defeated David Vála from the Czech Republic, Balasz Kiss, Schalwa Gadabadse from Georgia and Artur Aleksanjan from Armenia and became European champion.
