According to the census conducted in 2011, Long Valley village population amounts to 2.907 inhabitants, down from the previous census in 2002, when it had registered 3.271 inhabitants. [1] Most of the inhabitants are Romanian (90.61%). The main minorities are the Roma (3.92%) and Hungarians (2.27%). For 2.65% of the population, ethnicity is not known. [2] In terms of confessional majority of the inhabitants are Orthodox (78.12%), but there are Greek Catholic minority (12.93%), Pentecostal (2.41%), Protestants (1.48%) and Catholics (1.24%). For 2.65% of the population is not known confessional. |

Valea Lungă (German: Langenthal, Hungarian: Hosszúaszó) is a commune located in Alba County, Romania. Is composed of six villages: Făget (Oláhbükkös), Glogoveț (Kisgalgóc), Lodroman (Lodormány), Lunca (Küküllőlonka), Tăuni (Hosszúpatak) and Valea Lungă.
