Valea Lungă (German: Langenthal, Hungarian: Hosszúaszó) is a commune located in Alba County, Romania. Is composed of six villages: Făget (Oláhbükkös), Glogoveț (Kisgalgóc), Lodroman (Lodormány), Lunca (Küküllőlonka), Tăuni (Hosszúpatak) and Valea Lungă.

Demography

According to the census conducted in 2011, Long Valley village population amounts to 2.907 inhabitants, down from the previous census in 2002, when it had registered 3.271 inhabitants. [1] Most of the inhabitants are Romanian (90.61%). The main minorities are the Roma (3.92%) and Hungarians (2.27%). For 2.65% of the population, ethnicity is not known. [2] In terms of confessional majority of the inhabitants are Orthodox (78.12%), but there are Greek Catholic minority (12.93%), Pentecostal (2.41%), Protestants (1.48%) and Catholics (1.24%). For 2.65% of the population is not known confessional.
