Alva is a settlement situated in Gotland Municipality, Gotland County, on the island of Gotland, Sweden. Formerly a socken, on 1 January 2016, it was reconstituted into the administrative area Alva District.[3]

The medieval Alva Church is in Alva.[4]

One of the asteroids in the Asteroid belt, 2353 Alva, is named after this place.[5]
