Adrian Mariappa (born October 3, 1986 in Harrow , London) is an England- born Jamaican national football player .

Player career

Adrian Mariappa began his playing career in the youth academy of Watford FC in England. He made his debut on August 23, 2005 in the League Cup against Notts County .

On August 19, 2006, Mariappa found the first time in the Premier League , in the away defeat at Everton , consideration in a league starting eleven. However, he was replaced by Jay DeMerit after 45 minutes . This season he completed a total of 19 league games.

After Watford's relegation from the Premier League in 2007, Adrian Mariappa became a regular player in the defense of Watford FC and is a member of the team's council. He is also the deputy team captain. On September 12, 2009, he led his team against Barnsley FC for the first time as captain on the field. In the second highest division in England, Mariappa is one of the top performers in his team. In July 2012, Mariappa left Watford FC and moved to Reading FC in the Premier League.

The defender made his international debut for the Jamaica national team on May 19, 2012.
