Adam Masina (born January 2, 1994 in Khouribga , Morocco ) is an Italian football player who also has Moroccan citizenship. The defender is currently under contract with Watford FC in the Premier League.

Career

In the club

Masina was born in Khouribga , Morocco , and grew up there. At the age of 13 years, his family moved to Italy in the Emilia-Romagna , where he became the youth department of FC Bologna visited. He went through this until 2012 and was awarded to the Lega Pro Seconda Divisione for AC Giacomense , where he was able to collect his first match practice. For the 2013/14 season he returned to Bologna and was part of the professional squad. In his debut season, however, he did not play and got into the team with the Series B from. In the second division 2014/15 season , however, Masina immediately developed into a regular player and Bologna ended the season in fourth place. In the play-offs for promotion , Bologna was then able to prevail and return to Serie A after a year of abstinence . Masina was also voted best player of the season.

In the national team

In October 2015, Masina was supposed to make her debut in a junior selection of Morocco, but declined because he would later play for Italy . Masina was called up just a month later by Luigi Di Biagio for Italy's U-21s and made her debut for them on November 17 in the match against Lithuania .
