Daryl Janmaat (born July 22, 1989 in Leidschendam , South Holland ) is a Dutch football player who is primarily used as a right defender . He has been under contract with Watford FC since 2016 .
Career
Janmaat's professional career began at ADO Den Haag , after a year in the Eerste Divisie , he moved to SC Heerenveen in 2008 . For the 2012/13 season he went to Feyenoord in Rotterdam . After participating in the 2014 World Cup, Newcastle United brought him to the Premier League . He signed a six-year contract with the Magpies . In August 2018 Janmaat moved to Watford FC for € 8.9 million . There he signed a six-year contract.
Bond coach Louis van Gaal appointed Janmaat to the national team after the Euro 2012 . He made his debut on September 7, 2012 in the World Cup qualifier against Turkey .
