The women's 800-meter run at the 2019 African Games took place on August 26th and 27th at the Stade Moulay Abdallah in Rabat .

20 runners from 15 countries took part in the competition. The gold medal was won by Hirut Meshesha with 2: 03.16 min, silver went to Rababe Arafi with 2: 03.20 min and the bronze medal was won by Halimah Nakaayi with 2: 03.55 min.
