Ahmet Gürleyen (born April 26, 1999 in Berlin ) is a German - Turkish soccer player . The defender is on loan from 1. FSV Mainz 05 to FC Liefering .

Career

society

Gürleyen began his football career in Berlin and played for the U-17 teams from Hertha Zehlendorf and Tennis Borussia Berlin . For the 2016/17 season he moved to the 1.FSV Mainz 05 youth training center . There he was used for the A-youth and from 2018 for the second team in the regional league . In summer 2018 he traveled with the professional team to a training camp in Venlo, the Netherlands . and was used once as a substitute in the subsequent 2018/19 Bundesliga season . In October 2018 he signed a professional contract dated until 2022, but continued to play in the second team in the Regionalliga.

In February 2020, Gürleyen was awarded to the Austrian second division club FC Liefering , who is coached by Bo Svensson , his coach at the A-youth of Mainz 05. During the loan he made two appearances in the 2nd division for Salzburg.

National team

Gürleyen played a game for the Turkish U-19 national team in February 2018 , but then switched to the German association and was used for the German U-19 national team in the 2-2 game against Denmark on April 25, 2018. Since then he has been part of the German U-20 national team .
