Alain Sarde

Alain Sarde (born March 28, 1952 in Boulogne-Billancourt ) is a French film producer .

Life

Alain Sarde is the brother of the film composer Philippe Sarde , who became famous through the films of Claude Sautet . Alain Sarde established himself as a film producer in 1976 with the film Barocco by André Techiné . He produced both commercials and films for European auteur cinema . He can now look back on a work of over 120 productions. His greatest success was with Roman Polański's film The Pianist , for which he received the BAFTA Award and an Oscar nomination .
