Alexei Arkadyevich Nassedkin

Alexei Arkadjewitsch Nassedkin ( Russian Алексей Аркадьевич Наседкин ; * December 20, 1942 in Moscow ; † December 4, 2014 there ) was a Russian pianist , composer and university teacher .

Life

From 1949 to 1961, Nassedkin was a student at the Central Music School for Children at the Moscow Conservatory in Anna Artobolevskay's class . He gave his first concert when he was nine years old. In 1958 he played at the World Exhibition in Brussels and in 1959 at the VII World Youth Games in Vienna . He then studied at the Moscow Conservatory in the Heinrich Neuhaus class and in Lev Naumov's special piano class , graduating in 1966. Until 1968, he studied composition with Sergei Balasanjan .

From 1966 Nassedkin taught at the Moscow Conservatory in the special piano class until his death. About 20 of his many students won all-Russian and international competitions, including Yuri Bogdanov and Vladimir Ovchinnikov . He has given master classes in Australia , Germany , the USA , Taiwan , France , Czechoslovakia , Yugoslavia and Japan . 1996–1999 he taught at the Musashino Art School in Kodaira .

Nassedkin was a member of the Russian Composers Union. With others he founded the Artobolevskaya Foundation in 1999 and was its first president. He was a jury member of many All-Union and All-Russian piano competitions and the international competitions in Tokyo (1978, 1986), Milan (1983), Bolzano (1985), Montreal (1985), Moscow (1986), Munich (1992, 1996, 1999) and Dortmund (2003). He gave solo concerts on the most important stages in the world and took part in festivals. The main focus of his broad repertoire was the work of the 20th century by Alban Berg , Igor Stravinsky , Paul Hindemith , Richard Strauss , Anatoli Alexandrow , Arno Babadschanjan , Meliton Balantschiwadze , Vladimir Ovchinnikow and Nikolai Rakow . He accompanied Wiktor Pikaisen ( sonatas by Mozart , César Franck , Sergei Prokofjew ) and Natalja Gutman . From 1971 on he composed sonatas, children's pieces and a prelude for piano as well as sonatas for oboe , viola and double bass .

Nassedkin was married to Tatyana Lvovna (* 1942), a répétiteur at the Moscow Conservatory.

In Yaroslavl , the Nassedkin competition for young pianists is held every three years.
