Andreas Beck (born March 13, 1987 in Kemerowo ) is a German football player who is currently under contract with KAS Eupen .
Life
Beck comes from a Russian-German family and came to Aalen - Wasseralfingen in 1990 as a resettler from the Soviet Union .
Career
society
The defender began playing football at DJK-SG Wasseralfingen and SVH Königsbronn . In the summer of 2000 he moved to the junior division of Bundesliga club VfB Stuttgart . From July 1, 2005 he was with the second team of VfB in the Regionalliga Süd as an amateur under contract. On February 11, 2006 Beck was first used by coach Armin Veh in a Bundesliga game . In the encounter with Arminia Bielefeld , the full-back was in the Swabian starting line-up. In his first season in 2005/06 he was used five times in the Bundesliga. On July 1, 2006, Beck received a four-year contract as a professional player at VfB Stuttgart and made four Bundesliga appearances during the 2006/07 championship season . Thus he belonged to the squad of the Stuttgart, the German champions . He scored the first goal for VfB in the Bundesliga on October 27, 2007 in a 1-0 win over Bayer 04 Leverkusen in the 72nd minute of the game.
On July 4, 2008, he moved to the then Bundesliga promoted TSG 1899 Hoffenheim . He became a regular player straight away, with the Herbstmeister club and completed 30 league games for Hoffenheim in his first season. Only Tobias Weis and Demba Ba made more appearances over the course of the season. For the 2010/11 season Beck was used by Ralf Rangnick as the new captain of Hoffenheim and thus as the successor to Per Nilsson, who had moved to Nuremberg . Beck gave up the captain's armband in May 2012. He justified his decision with the fact that TSG Hoffenheim is in a state of upheaval and new structures are being created. During the 2012/13 season he was reappointed team captain.
For the 2015/16 season Beck moved to the Turkish first division side Beşiktaş Istanbul . With Beşiktaş, he won the championship two times in a row.
On August 31, 2017, Andreas Beck returned to VfB Stuttgart . In the first season of his return to VfB , Beck was one of his team's regulars. On April 14, 2018 (30th matchday) Beck tore a partial tear of the right anterior cruciate ligament in the 1-1 draw against Hannover 96 , which meant the premature end of the season for him. Beck made his comeback after the cruciate ligament injury on July 26, 2018 in a friendly against SV Sandhausen . In the 2018/19 season , the defender played 24 league games for Stuttgart, but missed the last two season and relegation games against Union Berlin due to injury and was relegated to the 2nd Bundesliga with the club. His contract, which expired at the end of the season, was not extended.
In July 2019, the defender received a three-year contract at KAS Eupen from the Belgian Division 1A .
National team
On February 21, 2007 Beck played his first game for the German U-21 national team against Italy , after he had previously played three games each for the U18 and the U19 and four games for the U20 of the DFB .
On February 5, 2009 Beck was appointed to the German national team for the first time by national coach Joachim Loew and played his first international match against Norway six days later in Düsseldorf . In the 1-0 defeat, the full-back was substituted on for Andreas Hinkel at halftime . On March 28th, he played against Liechtenstein in the World Cup qualification , making him the first Hoffenheim player to play for Germany in a competitive match.
His greatest international success was winning the U-21 European Championship in Sweden in 2009 under national coach Horst Hrubesch . His decisive goal to 1-0 against Italy opened the way for Germany to the final, which was won 4-0 against England .
On May 6, 2010 he was appointed to the expanded squad for the 2010 World Cup by national coach Joachim Loew , but on June 1, 2010 he was the last player to be removed from the final squad . Beck played a total of nine games for the senior national team, most recently in November 2010.
