The Appleton International Airport ( IATA : ATW , ICAO : KATW ) formally Outagamie County Regional Airport is an airport in Appleton in eastern US -amerikanischen state of Wisconsin . The airport, which is always open and owned by Outagamie County, is the main air traffic hub in the Fox Cities metropolitan area and the third largest in passenger traffic in Wisconsin.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) classifies the airport, which is part of the National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems, as a non-hub primary commercial service airport based on the number of 259,340 departing passengers .

The airport is the main base of the regional airline Air Wisconsin and was the former home base of Midwest Airlines .

The airport is located in the southeast of the Town of Greenville area . College Avenue connects the airport with Appleton city center, 7.8 km east.

Furnishing

The airport has two runways, each with a concrete surface. There is a passenger terminal with six gates, each with a passenger boarding bridge . There is a baggage handling system with two output points in the main building, where several rental car companies have their bases.
